At Lakeland, we partner with trusted ministries locally and globally to help people follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and commit to His mission. From our own community to the nations, we invest in strategic partnerships that bring hope, meet real needs, and make a lasting Kingdom impact.

We have a team at Lakeland that stays closely connected with our mission partners each month—praying for them, encouraging them, and helping meet their needs in meaningful ways. As a training center for national healthcare workers, they are building long-term impact while serving hundreds of thousands of patients. Through excellence and compassion, they bring both healing and the hope of Jesus.

New Day Women’s Clinic is a Christ-centered ministry committed to affirming life through God’s truth and love. 
They provide women and families with trusted information, pregnancy services, and sexual health support through a compassionate team of medical professionals, mentors, and volunteers. In a safe and caring environment, individuals are equipped to make informed decisions and experience hope for the future.
Shepherds College is equipping students with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live with purpose, independence, and faith.

Through Christ-centered education and vocational training, students are prepared not just for careers, but to live missionally...fully alive in Christ and confident in the purpose God has for them. It’s incredible to see lives being shaped with dignity, direction, and hope.

Hogar de Vida in Costa Rica is a safe, Christ-centered home for children (ages 2–10) who have come from difficult and unsafe environments.

Up to 35 children at a time are welcomed into a place where they are cared for, clothed, fed, and educated...while being surrounded by a dedicated team including caregivers, a teacher, a nurse, a nutritionist, and a psychologist. Most importantly, they are given the opportunity to experience the love of Jesus and a hope-filled future.

Lakeland Park is the best way to reach the community! The Park is free for anyone to come and play and our volunteers get the awesome opportunity to welcome them.

Serve Team Responsibilities:
  • Welcome and supervise every child and adult that enters the Park
  • Answer any questions about the Park or Lakeland Church
  • Assist the Park Rangers in helping people move, play, and connect
  • Show love to all who enter the Park so that they can feel the love of God
Time Commitment:
  • Flexible during our open hours
The Communications Team is the team behind the scenes to help with all things social media, weekly emails, writing, and graphic design.

  • Love social media or digital design
  • Have ideas about to improve our digital presence
  • Enjoy being creative digitally (website, social media, graphics, etc.)
  • Are looking for a flexible serve area
Serve Team Responsibilities:
  • Help plan out digital media calendar
  • Create social media posts/stories and write captions
  • Interact with people and pages on social media
  • Write and design weekly emails
  • Create graphics and print materials
  • Edit and design website
  • Really any of the areas above or just let us know what you’re interested in and we will find an area for you. 🙂 
Time Commitment:
  • Flexible
The Photo Team works to capture the moments where God is moving. Our goal is to take photos that show who Lakeland is, what our heart is, and what God is doing here.
You might be right for the team if you…
  • Enjoy being creative and artistic
  • Are interested in cameras, photography, or editing
  • Feel comfortable moving around to capture photos during worship, services, and events
  • Prefer to serve on a small team
Serve Team Responsibilities:
  • Capture candid photos everywhere from the lobby, to worship, to behind the scenes
  • Gather people for photos of teams, families, etc.
  • Assist in editing photos (optional!!)
Time Commitment:
  • One Sunday a month (flexible)
  • Special Events (Praise in the Park, Child Dedications, etc.)
The Video Team works to capture stories, special events, announcements, and everything in between. They work to show what Lakeland is up to, who our people are, and where God is moving here.

  • Enjoy being creative and artistic
  • Are good at working with people and helping them feel comfortable
Serve Team Responsibilities:
  • Work to capture b-roll, interviews, and special events
  • Edit videos (optional!!)
  • Interview people
Time Commitment:
  • Flexible
The Tech Team is the team behind our amazing services. They work to make a seamless experience for both our online and in-person communities.
You might be right for the team if you…
  • Enjoy technology and learning new things
  • Thrive when working on a large team and in a fast-paced setting
  • Are creative
Serve Team Responsibilities:
  • Use a camera to capture worship and the message for our online services
  • Switch slides for worship and teaching
  • Adjust sound and lighting live
Time Commitment:
  • Every other week
  • Thursdays and both services on Sunday
The Worship Team’s goal is to bring the spirit of God into the room. They are there to lead people in worship and create a comfortable place for people to do so.
You might be right for the team if you…
  • Are musically gifted
  • Enjoy being up on stage and in front of people
  • Love worshipping and are open to doing that in front of the whole church
Volunteer Responsibilities:
  • Learn and practice the music that will be played at the following service
  • Be at worship practice and all services
Time Commitment:
  • Every few weeks
  • Thursdays and both services on Sundays
The Missions Connection Team provides our Lakeland Missionary Partners with the best support possible through regular communication, prayer, financial, possible personal in-the-field visits, and respite opportunities.

  • Have a passion and heart for missions
  • Have experience or an interest in missions
  • Are looking for a flexible and behind-the-scenes serve area
Volunteer Responsibilities:
  • Connect with current mission partners to find out prayer requests, praises, and needs
  • Meet monthly to discuss current and potential partners
  • Serve alongside local partners and host visiting missionaries
Time Commitment:
  • Monthly meeting
The Special Events Team works to make every special event or holiday at the church feel special. From setting up photo booths to doing crafts to cooking up yummy treats, this team has a ton of fun!

  • Are looking for a flexible serve area
  • Have the gift of hospitality
Serve Team Responsibilities:
  • Help with setup and tear down of special events props
  • Brainstorm ideas for holidays and special events
  • Craft anything necessary to get the vision accomplished 
Time Commitment:
  • Flexible
Virtual Reality is viewed as a second campus here at Lakeland. They have their own community and services and it’s a blast. This is one of our best areas to serve in evangelism.

  • Are interested in being on the cutting edge of Virtual Reality church
Serve Team Responsibilities:
  • Have conversations with new people
  • Welcome people to the space
  • Attend virtual services and groups
Time Commitment:
  • 3-5 hours per week
The Facilities Team helps the church to steward its resources by providing necessary maintenance, upkeep, and renovation to our campus.

  • Like to work behind the scenes
  • Love working with your hands
  • Have a willingness to learn and adapt to the different needs that our facilities have. 
  • Have unique skills in the trades (a plus, but not required)
Serve Team Responsibilities:
  • Building repairs
  • Cleaning
  • Construction projects 
  • Painting, hanging shelves, moving chairs, general facilities tasks, etc.
Time Commitment:
  • Flexible
The Security Team helps to keep Lakeland safe and running smoothly. They are actively working to keep the buildings and surrounding areas safe through close observation, special training, and quick response in emergencies.

  • Are willing to work behind the scenes
  • Have good observation skills
  • Have a desire to keep people safe and protected
  • Can respond quickly and calmly in emergency situations
Serve Team Responsibilities:
  • Provide a watchful presence during Sunday services
  • Issue commands to keep congregants safe during medical emergencies, fire emergencies, severe weather, etc.
Time Commitment:
  • Rotating services
The Reception Team helps our staff during the week by answering phones and walk-ins to the building. They also help with things around the building as well such as turning on TVs or stuffing chairbacks.

  • Enjoy talking to people
    • Serve Team Responsibilities:
    • Answer phones and welcome walk-ins
    • Help with tasks around the building
    • You are able to bring along items to help pass your time such as a Bible, book, work, etc.
    Time Commitment:
    • On a recurring timeslot during our office hours (8am-4pm)
    The Groups Team is all about helping people find meaningful connections and grow in their faith journey through small group communities. They create pathways for people to experience authentic relationships and spiritual growth.

    • Have a heart for connecting people in meaningful relationships
    • Enjoy meeting and talking with new people
    • Have experience participating in or leading small groups
    Serve Team Responsibilities:
    • Follow up with people interested in joining groups
    • Support group leaders by helping host groups
    • Lead a small group and facilitate meaningful discussions
    • Connect with new attendees about available group opportunities
    • Represent the Groups ministry in the auditorium and lobby before and after services
    Time Commitment:
    • Every other week
    • Additional time for group hosting/leading (flexible scheduling)
    The Baptism Team helps create one of the most meaningful moments in a person’s faith journey. From preparing the environment to celebrating life change, this team plays a key role in helping people take their next step in following Jesus.

    • Are organized and attentive to details
    Serve Team Responsibilities:
    • Prepare and reset the baptism environment (tank, towels, shirts, etc...)
    • Assist individuals before and after baptism
    • Celebrate each person taking this step
    Time Commitment:
    • Rotating services and baptism events
