Jesus Questions - Week One

When something has you worried, what do you usually do first: try to control it, talk about it, distract yourself, or pray?

Read Matthew 6:25 — Worry can magnify a one-day problem until it feels like a life-sized problem. What has worry made bigger than it really is in your life?

Read Matthew 6:26–30 — Worry often grows where our confidence in God’s care has shrunk. What makes it difficult for you to believe that God sees, values, and cares for you in your current situation?

Read Luke 10:38–42 — Martha’s anxiety led her to question whether Jesus cared. How can worry distort the way we see God, other people, and our circumstances?

Read Matthew 6:27 — Worry asks for our time, energy, and emotions but produces nothing helpful. How can you tell the difference between responsible concern and unproductive worry?

Read Matthew 6:31–34— Fear and faith may both be present, but only one can lead.
