Heaven & Nature Sings - Week Three
Q1 - Opening question: When you think of “Peace at Christmas,” what’s the movie in your head—Hallmark, Elf, Polar Express, or something more like *Home Alone / Jingle All the Way / The Grinch-in-the-middle? Why?
Q2 - Read John 14:27: “Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.” How does Jesus’ definition of peace differ from the kind of peace the world promises—especially during the Christmas season—and where do you feel that contrast most clearly right now?
Q3 - Read Luke 2:10–11 and Luke 2:14: What stands out to you about the kind of peace Jesus brought—especially knowing He arrived into a messy world, not a calm one?
Q4 - Read Matthew 11:28: Where are you most weary or burdened this season (emotionally, relationally, financially, spiritually)? What do you think it would look like to actually “come to Jesus” with that—practically, not just theoretically?
Q5 - Read Psalm 34:18 or Psalm 147:3: The sermon said peace shows up when Jesus steps into the “there”—the specific place you stopped believing peace was possible. What’s your “there” right now?
Q6 - Read Isaiah 26:3: It connects peace to trust and fixed thoughts. What’s one situation where you need to trust Him more—and what is one simple way you can “fix your thoughts on Him” this week (a prayer you repeat, a verse you anchor to, a habit you change, a conversation or serving)?
