Build - Week 3

May 3, 2026

Q1 - Be honest… what’s something in your life you’re “all in” on right now—and would people say it’s inspiring… or just slightly embarrassing? 😄

Q2 - In 1 Samuel 14:6, Jonathan says 'Perhaps the Lord will act on our behalf. Nothing can hinder the Lord from saving, whether by many or by few.' What does Jonathan's use of the word 'perhaps' teach us about faith and taking action even when we can't control the outcome?

Q3 - Read 1 Samuel 14:7 and Ecclesiastes 4:9–10 – Jonathan’s armor bearer fully commits without knowing the outcome. Who are the people walking with you in faith—and are you the kind of person others would follow “heart and soul”?

Q4 - Read Hebrews 11:1 and Zechariah 4:10 – The sermon challenged us to grow our faith “one size up,” not all at once. What would a one-size-up step of faith look like for you right now—especially in generosity or obedience?

Q5 - Read 1 Samuel 14:12–15 and James 2:17 – Jonathan steps out first, then God moves. Where might you be waiting on God—when in reality God is waiting on your next step of faith?

Q6 - Read 1 Samuel 14:20 - Using the example of King Saul arriving late to the battle that was already won, Pastor Josh warned that some people at Lakeland might miss out on what God wants to do in their lives by not taking bold steps of faith during the Build. Are there areas in your spiritual life where you've been content to watch others take risks while you stay comfortable?
