Read Romans 8:31. How can we utilize this verse to give us courage in our day to day lives?
Pastor Josh tells us that nothing can come against us from the posture of surrender and obedience to God, but rebellion, disobedience and complete self-reliance can sabotage what God want to do in us. Are there any areas of your life you could be sabotaging God’s plan?
Read 2 Corinthians 9:8. What does it look like to live as if God is truly FOR you — even in moments when you're experiencing lack, disappointment, or uncertainty? Can you think of a time when God showed His provision or care in an unexpected way?
Read Romans 8:1. What does it mean to you to live “not condemned” in Christ? How might your daily mindset or decisions change if you were fully resting in the reality that you are forgiven and united with Jesus?
Read Romans 8:38 and reflect on how incredibly important and exciting this is. Are you able to boldly face whatever life throws at you? How can you remember to make this your “default verse” if you feel unloved, scared, upset or lonely?
Read Romans 8:38-39 and take a moment to let those words settle in. How could anchoring your heart in this truth help you face feelings of fear, loneliness, or insecurity? What practical things can you do to keep this verse close when life gets hard?
