Life on Mission Part 2 - Week 1

January 11, 2026

Q1 - When you hear the phrase “My ministry is…” what’s the first thing that comes to mind for you right now?

Q2 - Read 2 Corinthians 5:18–19. What does it change for you to realize that every believer has been given “the ministry of reconciliation,” not just pastors or missionaries?

Q3 - Read Mark 12:30. Which part of loving God (heart, soul, mind, or strength) do you think you’re currently giving Him the most—and which part is the hardest to fully surrender?

Q4 - Read 1 Peter 4:2. The sermon described three kinds of passions: sinful, potentially derailing, and God-given but hijackable. Which category do you think most often competes for your heart—and why?

Q5 - Read Ephesians 2:10. If God already prepared “good works” specifically for you, how might your passions point toward the ministry assignment He has for your life?

Q6 - The prayer was: “Keep me from the things I could do and guide me to the things I should do.”
What is one passion, habit, or pursuit you sense God asking you to eliminate, guard, or surrender this week?

Personal Reflections for the Week from Pastor Josh

Where is my heart…where are my passions?

1st- Sinful passion- These need to be eliminated.

2nd-Non-sinful but potentially derailing. These need to be watched and guarded.

3rd-God-given-divinely-hard-wired-into-me but can hijacked for my purposes. These need to be surrendered.
