PRAYER - Week Four
Q1 - What’s the most frantic, “intense mode” prayer you’ve ever prayed — the kind where you reacted before you really listened?
Q2 - Read Habakkuk 2:1 and Psalm 46:10 - Key #1 - Stillness
Habakkuk climbed the watchtower and chose stillness before hearing from God. What would your “watchtower” look like practically — and what keeps you from being still long enough to listen?
Q3 - Read Ephesians 1:17–18 and Colossians 4:2 - Key #2 - Watch
Paul talks about the “eyes of your heart” being enlightened and being watchful in prayer. What do you think it means to “watch” internally during prayer, and have you ever experienced that moment when something spiritually “clicked”?
Q4 - Read John 10:27 and James 1:5 - Key #3 Spontaneous Thought
Jesus says His sheep hear His voice. The sermon described spontaneous thoughts that carry wisdom, love, or conviction beyond our normal thinking. How can we discern the difference between our own thoughts and the Spirit’s prompting?
Q5 - Read Habakkuk 2:2 and 2 Timothy 3:16 - Key #4 Write it Down
Habakkuk was told to write the revelation down. Why do you think writing what you sense God saying strengthens clarity and accountability? Have you ever revisited something God spoke and found renewed confidence in it?
Q6 - Read Revelation 2:7 and John 16:13 - Jesus repeatedly says, “Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says.” How might your life, decisions, or fears change if listening became your first instinct instead of reacting?
