PRAYER - Week One
Q1 - When you think about your current prayer life, would you say you're closer to the 36% who pray less than daily, or the 2% who are satisfied with their prayer life—and what do you think holds you back most?
Q2 - Read Philippians 4:6. Pastor Josh used the analogy of finding a key to a locked closet, comparing it to how we try many different "keys" in life—power, money, influence, self-promotion—before using prayer. What's one area of your life where you consistently try to unlock the door on your own before bringing it to God in prayer?
Q3 - Read 2 Corinthians 5:17. The sermon asked: "If Christ had your body to inhabit for a day, what would He do with you?" How do you think Jesus would spend your typical Thursday differently than you do—with your thoughts, your phone, your schedule, or your relationships?
Q4 - Read Matthew 16:17-18. Jesus renamed Simon (Broken Reed) to Peter (Rock), separating what the world called him from what God called him. What's a "name" (lie or label) that you've naturally turned toward like it's your identity—and what truth from God's Word could replace it?
Q5 - Read Ephesians 6:18. The sermon focused on praying declarations over ourselves, but Paul tells us to "always keep on praying for all the Lord's people." Who is one person in your life right now who needs you to declare truth over them in prayer—and what lie do you think they might be believing about themselves?
Q6 - Pastor Josh prayed a declaration over his identity every single day. What's one specific lie you need to stop believing this week, and what verse or truth will you declare over yourself daily to replace it?
