Life Reset - Week Two

September 14, 2025

Q1 - Read Isaiah 43:18–19
“Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing!” What’s something old that you’ve held on to—physically, mentally, or spiritually—that really doesn’t serve a purpose anymore? Why is it hard to let go of what no longer fits the season you’re in?

Q2 - Paul says we are not slaves, but children of God. In Roman culture, people were used to serving cold and demanding gods. In what ways do you think people today (even Christians) still view God more like a master than a father?

Q3 - 2. Read 1 John 3:1
What stands out to you about God *lavishing* His love on us? How do you personally experience or struggle to experience this kind of lavish love from God?

Q4 -Read Romans 8:15b–16 and 1 John 4:18.
What’s the difference between viewing God as a punishing judge versus a loving Father who disciplines? How would your relationship with God shift if you fully believed He was for you and not just waiting to correct you?

Q5 Read Romans 8:15b–16 and 1 John 4:18
What’s the difference between viewing God as a punishing judge versus a loving Father who disciplines? How would your relationship with God shift if you fully believed He was for you and not just waiting to correct you?

Q6 - Read Romans 8:15 again
Paul says the Spirit prompts us to cry out “Abba, Father”—which is more like saying “Daddy.” Why do you think Paul chose such an intimate word to describe our relationship with God? When was the last time you truly felt like God was that close?

Q7 - Read Romans 8:17 and 2 Corinthians 9:8
We are heirs with Christ. What does that mean practically? How could a deeper understanding of your spiritual inheritance—grace, strength, love, peace—impact how you approach your current season of life?
