A multisite church is one church in multiple locations. It has different campuses but central leadership with direction, vision, budget, and mission.

Multisite at Lakeland Church

Our mission at Lakeland is to lead people to follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and commit to the mission of Jesus… because lives are at stake. We feel called to live out this mission in areas other than just Walworth County. Whether we use the words ‘Campus,’ ‘Church,’ or ‘Location,’ we are referring to taking the mission of Lakeland and living it out at a new physical location wherever we feel led by God. This new location will be Lakeland, but in a new area where we are called to fulfill our mission given to us by Him. We love what God is doing here and can’t wait to see what He is going to do at the new location.

Jon Thies has recently joined our team as the Campus Pastor. His goal for the next year is to learn all about Lakeland and our community. Through that time, Jon and our Lead Team will be praying through where they believe God is calling us to plant our first multisite campus.

Where will the new location be?

Our goal is to plant the next Lakeland location within about a 45-minute drive of the current Lakeland location. We will go wherever we feel God is calling us the most! We know that many of these locations have people who don’t know Jesus yet and we want to help them follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and commit to the mission of Jesus… because lives are at stake.

Let’s address the elephant in the room… our goal is not to be a mega-church. We are a MICRO church with a MEGA vision. That vision is: Leading people to follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus, and commit to the mission of Jesus… because lives are at stake.

One of our values here at Lakeland Community Church is REACHING, which means we’ll do anything short of sin to reach the unengaged individuals in our community and other communities we feel led to.

There are people that need to follow Jesus, be changed by Jesus and commit to the mission of Jesus and we know that planting a new Lakeland location aligns with our value of REACHING.

Yes. Full Lakeland experience with live worship and primary video teaching!

A Campus Pastor oversees all campus ministries and are the torchbearer to that community.

This has yet to be set in stone, we are tentatively planning on this launch happening within the next 18-24 months.

Each campus will start with Lakeland Kids, and once our teams can support it, we’ll add Lakeland Students.

Yes. Our belief is that God has called us to serve more areas around our area and we are just getting started!

Of course! You are always welcome to attend any campus. Ultimately, we hope you’ll consider joining the campus closest to you. It’s all about making the biggest impact in your local community.
