Next Gen digital resources are reaching beyond county and even state borders! Churches even as far as in California have utilized Lakeland Kids online materials. Regular Zoom calls across grade levels have given kids a chance to connect with leaders and interact digitally. From games to devotional times, kids are being poured into and catching glimpses of what their leaders’ relationships with God look like.
Despite not being able to meet in person, many small groups are going strong digitally. New ones are even starting from the ground up and going through Zoom or other video platforms!
The Lake Geneva Sheriff’s Department reached out to Lakeland and asked if we’d be able to provide 2,000 sewn face masks for the community by April 10th. Approximately 500 have been completed as of April 1st! God’s love is being put on display through us as we meet this need.
April 6th-9th, we are partnering with other churches and community leaders for a Food Delivery Initiative for Williams Bay kids on spring break. This is a huge need, as many kids in our area rely on their school to provide their lunches. We’ll get to minister in this very tangible way and shine Jesus in the process!
We’re experiencing an opening of people’s hearts toward church in this season. Story after story is being told of friends and family who’d otherwise be unchurched now seeking out our services and being a part of Lakeland online. God is bringing life change through this digital shift!
The global outbreak of Coronavirus has come close to home. It’s required government and community leaders to make fast decisions. As you’re probably aware, many events in our region have been cancelled, and health professionals recommend limiting large gatherings of people.
Our leadership team has been in conversation and has decided to make adjustments to our weekend services.
Please watch the following announcement from Pastor Josh.
What about Communion?
As you engage online, we will lead and guide you through communion.
To prepare, simply grab a cracker and some juice (any will do – since it’s symbolic, even water is ok in a pinch).
Offer a prayer of thanks to God for the forgiveness of sin and the relationship with God that comes through Jesus’ death on the cross.
Prayerfully take communion.
How can I give my offering?
If you usually write a check, just mail your offering to N3181 Hwy. 67, Lake Geneva, WI 53147
