Tim Flynn

Care and Missions Director

tim-familyTim is a native of Wisconsin having grown up in West Allis, a Milwaukee suburb.  After going to college at the University of Wisconsin and graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in 1977, he married his love, Sue, in June of 1978.  They began their life together in Southeastern Wisconsin and Tim began working for his father-in-law’s family business, where in 1983 he and Sue purchased the business now called GWW Group, Inc.  With companies in Wisconsin and Costa Rica, Tim has been a leader in manufacturing carrying cases for the music and sporting goods, as well as other industries.  Under their ownership, Tim and Sue have dedicated their business to the Lord with a fervent desire to steward what has been entrusted to them while bringing Christ’s love in a relevant way to those they encounter in the market place.  Tim still is involved in the business in an advisory role to his daughter and son, who are still very active in the business.

Ever since coming to know Christ while at UW, Tim has been active in ministry in a variety of capacities, whether it is in local churches he attended or his involvement in Christian organizations.  Tim and Sue began attending Lakeland in January of 2014.  Last year God opened the door for him to join the staff as the Care and Missions Resident.  Beginning in September, Tim will be increasing his commitment to Lakeland as the Care and Missions Director. Tim is passionate about seeing what God’s transforming power can do in an individual’s life. He is absolutely in awe of what God is doing in the many hearts and lives of those in the Lakeland Community.

Tim and Sue are blessed with three grown children and two grandchildren.   Their third grandchild will be arriving in early 2017.  Together, Tim and Sue enjoy spending time with their family, taking long walks in nature and enjoying the beauty this area offers.
